How to share the Three Circles

  1. Brokenness

Draw A circle. Inside it, a stick person and a jagged line for the suffering we all see.

Say “We live in a broken world — suffering, death, war, addiction. This is not God’s original design.”

  2. God’s perfect design

Draw A second circle. Inside it, a heart.

Say “God’s original design is a world of love, joy, unity, and peace — relationship with Him.”

  3. Sin

Draw An arrow from God’s design into brokenness. Label it “SIN”.

Say “We leave God’s way and go our own way. That is sin, and it separates us from God.”

  4. The Gospel

Draw A third circle between the other two. Put a cross inside it, then an arrow from brokenness through the cross back to God’s design.

Say “Jesus lived a perfect life, died for our sin, and rose again. If we turn from sin, believe in Him, and are baptized, God raises us to new life in His family.”

  5. The mission

Draw An arrow from God’s design back into brokenness.

Say “Jesus sends us, just as the Father sent Him, back into the broken world to help others find the same way out.”

  6. Ask

Draw Two stick figures — one in brokenness, one in God’s design.

Say “Do you know where you are now? Do you know where you want to be?”

Practice the whole story out loud three times today without looking at notes.
